Data Deletion Policy

How data is deleted on disconnect, on request, and on account closure.

1. Purpose

This Policy explains when and how Ecom10x deletes data, including on Marketplace disconnection, on verified request, and on account termination.

2. Deletion on Marketplace Disconnect

When you disconnect a Connected Account (User Disconnect Process, available in Settings → Connected Accounts):

  • OAuth, access and refresh tokens for that Marketplace are revoked (where the Marketplace supports programmatic revocation) and deleted from our systems within 24 hours.
  • Scheduled synchronisation for that account stops immediately.
  • Marketplace Data already synced remains available to you for continuity (reports, reconciliation, tax records) unless you also request its deletion under Section 3, or your plan/settings specify otherwise.
  • Where a Marketplace's developer policy mandates deletion of specific data classes upon disconnection or authorisation revocation (including Amazon SP-API data protection requirements), we delete that data within the timelines that policy prescribes.

3. Deletion on Request

3.1 Account owners and admins may request deletion of specific datasets (e.g., a client workspace, a Connected Account's history) or personal data by writing to [PRIVACY_EMAIL — e.g., privacy@ecom10x.in] from the registered email.

3.2 We verify the request, then complete deletion from production systems within 30 days, and from encrypted backups within the backup rotation cycle described in the Backup & Disaster Recovery Policy (maximum 90 days), after which the data is unrecoverable.

3.3 We may decline or defer deletion only to the extent retention is required by law (e.g., tax, accounting), for the establishment or defence of legal claims, or for fraud and security investigation, and we will tell you which ground applies.

4. Deletion on Account Termination

On termination or closure of your account: (a) you have a 30-day export window to download your data (see Data Export Policy); (b) after the export window, Customer Data is deleted from production within 30 days; (c) backups purge on rotation (maximum 90 days); (d) limited billing, invoicing and audit records are retained as required by law per the Data Retention Policy.

5. What Deletion Means

Deletion means removal or irreversible anonymisation such that data can no longer be associated with you. Aggregated, de-identified statistics that were derived before deletion and cannot identify you may be retained.

6. Sub-processor Deletion

We instruct subprocessors to delete corresponding data within their contractual timelines, and confirm completion on request.

7. Confirmation

On request, we provide written confirmation once deletion from production systems is complete.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This document is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this document shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through good-faith negotiation within thirty (30) days of written notice. Failing amicable resolution, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be [JURISDICTION_CITY — e.g., New Delhi], India, and proceedings shall be conducted in English. Subject to the foregoing, the courts at [JURISDICTION_CITY — e.g., New Delhi], India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
