Refund & Cancellation Policy
How subscription cancellations, refunds and downgrades work.

1. Scope
This Policy governs cancellation of, and refunds for, paid Ecom10x subscriptions purchased directly from EcomSarthi. It does not apply to Marketplace fees, which are between you and the Marketplace.
2. Free Trial / Beta
Where a free trial or free beta tier is offered, no fees are charged and no refunds arise. We may modify or end free tiers with notice.
3. Cancellation by Customer
3.1 You may cancel a subscription at any time from account settings or by writing to [SUPPORT_EMAIL — e.g., support@ecom10x.in].
3.2 Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until then. Auto-renewal stops immediately upon cancellation.
4. Refunds
4.1 Monthly plans: fees for the current month are non-refundable once the billing period has started, except as stated in 4.3.
4.2 Annual plans: you may request a pro-rata refund of the unused full months if you cancel within the first 30 days of the annual term. After 30 days, annual fees are non-refundable, except as stated in 4.3.
4.3 Exceptions — full or pro-rata refund available: (a) duplicate payment or billing error by us; (b) sustained inability to access core Service functions caused by us and not remedied within 7 business days of your written notice; (c) statutory rights that cannot be excluded under Indian consumer protection principles applicable to the transaction.
4.4 Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval. Payment-gateway or bank timelines may add processing time beyond our control.
5. Downgrades
Downgrades take effect from the next billing period. Features and limits of the lower plan apply from that date; data exceeding lower-plan limits may become read-only rather than deleted.
6. Cancellation or Suspension by Us
If we terminate your subscription without cause, we will refund fees pro-rata for the unused period. If access is terminated for cause under the Account Suspension & Termination Policy (e.g., material breach, unlawful use, API abuse), fees are non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
7. Taxes
Refunds include GST charged on the refunded amount, adjusted by way of credit note in accordance with GST law.
8. How to Raise a Billing Issue
Email [SUPPORT_EMAIL — e.g., support@ecom10x.in] with your registered email, invoice number and a description. We acknowledge within 48 hours. Unresolved billing grievances may be escalated to the Grievance Officer ([GRIEVANCE_OFFICER_EMAIL — e.g., grievance@ecom10x.in]).
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This document is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this document shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through good-faith negotiation within thirty (30) days of written notice. Failing amicable resolution, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be [JURISDICTION_CITY — e.g., New Delhi], India, and proceedings shall be conducted in English. Subject to the foregoing, the courts at [JURISDICTION_CITY — e.g., New Delhi], India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
